PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
18Cr12MoVNbN is usually produced by EAF / AOD / BEF followed by electro-slag refining (ESR) / VAR if necessary for special purpose.
Bars and, where applicable, forgings are subjected to ultrasonic examination based on the different levels according to the buyers' requirements.
Bars are usually supplied in the annealed, peeled condition.
Final heat treatment - quenched and tempered, + SRA.

Square bar & flat bar: 8 ~ 610 mm
Length: random length or based on the customer's special requirement.
Heavy / middle plate via hot rolled: T 6 ~ 400 X W 20 ~ 1000 X L mm
Sheet steel via cold rolled: T 0.5 ~ 6 X W 60 ~ 1000 X L mm
Steel strip via cold rolled: T 0.4 ~ 3 X W 10 ~ 300 X L (or in coil form)
Forging piece: stepped shafts, other different shapes based on OEM.

MECHANICAL PROPERTY AT ROOM TEMPERATURE

Heat treatment practice: annealing 850 ~ 950 ℃, furnace cooling (delivery hardness HB 269 max.)

Quenched 1100 ~ 1170 ℃, air cooling

Tempered ≥ 600℃, air cooling.
Tensile strength, Rm ≥ MPa: 835
Yield strength, Rp0.2 ≥ MPa: 685

Elongation, A5 ≥ (％): 15.0
Reduction of area, Z ≥ (％): 30.0
Hardness via heat treatment / HB.: 321 max.
