UNS S45000 stainless steel is high-alloy steel, it contains 15.0Cr -6.0Ni - 0.7Mo - 1.5Cu iron base alloy steel..S45000 stainless steel alloy is a martensitic type stainless steel. It has high ductility, strength. and yield strength.
UNS S45000 is a specialized age-hardenable martensitic stainless steel that provides moderate strength and enhanced corrosion resistance. S45000 stainless steel alloy is also easily fabricated and maintains good ductility and toughness in a wide range of applications.
S45000 is usually produced by AOD / VOD / EAF followed by electroslag refining (ESR) / VAR if necessary for special purpose. Bars and, where applicable, forgings are subjected to ultrasonic examination based on the different levels according to the buyers' requirements.
Bars are usually supplied bright in the softened condition.
Final heat treatment: solution treatment + aged.
