Aerospace ESR steel S145 solution aged round bar, flat bar, FV520 forging from ssteelmaking, Electroslag remelting, hot forged & rolled, heat treated
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Grade BS S145 is usually produced by EAF + AOD followed by electroslag refining (ESR) / VAR if necessary for special purpose. Bars and, where applicable, forgings are subjected to ultrasonic examination based on the different levels according to the buyers' requirements.
Bars are usually supplied black/bright in the annealed condition.
Final heat treatment - solution treatment + aged.

Yield strength, Rp0.2 ≥ MPa: 1030
Elongation, A5 ≥: 10.0
Hardness ≤ HBW: 375 ~ 429
Final Heat treatment: solution 1050+ aged 620 degree celsius
Tensile Strength, σb ≥ MPa: 930 ~ 1080
Yield Strength, σ0.2 ≥ MPa: 780
Elongation, δ5 ≥: 15.0
Hardness ≤ HBW: 277 ~ 341
