FV520 A precipitation hardening Ageing Martensitic Stainless Steel, it is available in shape of Round bars, Shaft, Flat bar Forging steelmaking, ESR, Blooming, Hot forging / rolling, Heat treated, 100% Ultrasonic test, Cold work. Technical Standards - BS EN 10088-3 (2005).

PRECIPITATION HARDENING STAINLESS STEEL / APPLICATION
Primary structures are austenite or martensite, which possess high strength, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and superior hot working performance.
The popular steel grades of Precipitation hardening-stainless steel are BS X5CrNiCuNb16-4, BS X7CrNiAl17-7, BS 1.4568, BS X5CrNiMoCuNb14-5,17-4PH, S17400, ASTM 630, SUS630, STS630, which are normally through precipitation hardening (also known as age-hardening) treatment practice.
Those materials are widely used in manufacturing the high strength, anti-corrosive forge piece for planes, gas turbine and other machined parts.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The alloy is usually produced by AOD / EAF followed by electroslag refining (ESR) / VAR if necessary for special purpose.
Bars and, where applicable, forgings are subjected to ultrasonic examination based on the different levels according to the buyers' requirements.
Bars are usually supplied black/bright in the annealed condition.
Final heat treatment - solution treatment + aged.
