X4CrNiCuMo14-5 provides strong resistance to general and acid-based corrosion, it also maintains good impact toughness and dependable transverse mechanical properties across large cross-sections
X4CrNiCuMo14-5, a precipitation hardening martensitic type of content 14Cr - 5.0Ni - 1.6Mo - 1.8Cu Iron base with addional Niobium 0.22% stainless steel, equals to FV520B, S144, S143. It is widely used in high-stress applications, such as turbine blades due to its excellent combination of mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and heat treatability.

X4CrNiCuMo14-5 displays an excellent material for last-stage turbine blades, where high mechanical strength, good fatigue resistance, and reliable performance at elevated temperatures are critical.
Its corrosion resistance also makes it suitable for the harsh, high-moisture environment typical of steam turbines.
