FV520B & FV520 is designated as a low carbon precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel, displaying characteristics of both austenitic and martensitic steels.
FV520 & FV520B is designates as a precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel, and FV520B is capable of being hardened by the different low-temperature treatments.
Type FV520 provides superior corrosion resistance when compared to other martensitic steel grades.
FV520B offers improved corrosion resistance in specific environments and also improved intergranular and pitting corrosion characteristics when compared to Garde 17-4PH / AISI 630 / S17400.
The alloy has higher tensile strength which is achieved through heat treatment (solution + Intermediate treatment + over-aged), our company also supplies the hardened or double over-aged condition based on the customers' specific requirements.
Final heat treatment practice: 1000 / 1040℃ solution + 750 / 850℃ Intermediate treatment + 550 / 580 / 620℃ over-aged.
